Susan Achinapura

Susan Achinapura is a Principal at R-A Associates.  She was raised in the restaurant business and has worked in both front and back of the house positions since she was fifteen.

Earning a B.S. degree from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, she continued working in the industry, developing large scale food production systems, creating more than 400 recipes and scores of menus to feed 8,000 people per day in one of Chicago’s largest banking institutions. Susan’s experience and passion for food earned her an appearance on the PBS program MasterChef USA, where she won the Midwest competition, and earned honorable mention in the National competition as one of three finalists.

As a natural teacher, Susan enjoys sharing her passion for food, cooking, and service.  Susan provides consulting services focused on recipe development, menu planning, food production, and service standards and training.
